Our Mission
To help individuals and families preserve their stories, memories, and personal histories through thoughtful documentation and storytelling
Meet the Team
Cherryhill Works is a mother-daughter business based in Ontario. Together, we bring backgrounds in academic research, archival methods, editorial services, and client support. Through thoughtful research and storytelling, our services help individuals and families reflect on and better understand the moments, memories, and histories that have shaped their lives.
Karen Meadows, Ph.D. Archaeology
Founder
I am a researcher, fact-checker, and editor with a PhD in archaeology. My resume (archaeologist, researcher, online content editor, program evaluator) personifies my knack for sourcing, verifying, and communicating information.
My approach to work is respectful of time and place. As an archaeologist, accuracy, consistency, and a clearly stated purpose is essential. As a freelance research specialist, a principled use of time and the meeting of deliverables is also critical.
I am a perpetual student and, since receiving my PhD, have completed courses on fact-checking, proofreading, copyediting, creating accessible documents, book production, and structural and stylistic editing.
I bring my eclectic accumulation of education and my digging skills to my work for you.
“I’ve been described as resilient, though I prefer the word dogged. Great qualities in an archaeologist, even better qualities in a personal history specialist I am also easy to work with having worked with all the great personality types over the years!”
